16 Fun Facts About Me

Rules: Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 16 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 16 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it’s because I want to know more about you.

1. I started Tumblr as somewhat a semi-private (for friends only) style, design, “must-haves” online notebook.  But everything changed after someone followed me and then I was featured on the Explore page.
2. Someone should give me a Tumblr Addict shirt ‘cause I really am. I can’t take missing a day of not Tumblring. My laptop is always on even when I sleep (A habit I should stop before my Mac dies on me).
3. I always plan to write reviews of all the movies I saw but it never came to fruition. This year, I promise myself that again. (I actually made another Tumblr site for that but deleted after realizing I can’t even handle the only one I currently have).
4. Write. Yeah. I suck at writing but I got a part-time job as a creative writer when I was in college.
5. I am very shy to the people I don’t know and can’t relate with. But with my friends, I am the hustler. I am the hustler. (Now where did I hear that song?)
6. Going back to writing: I usually blog in Filipino not in English. But Tumblr has opened an opportunity for me to practice my English writing. I need it because I really suck. (My favorite mistake is my homonymic mistakes (e.g. “I one you”  instead of “want” or “Thehil” instead of “dahil”).
7. I only drink soda If I don’t have any other choice. I’m a water person. I think I drink more than the required amount per day.
8. I grew my love of cinema after seeing Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction (or was it Kill Bill), Pedro Almodavar’s Hable con ella, Majid Majidi’s Children of the Heaven and Walter Salles’ Central Station in High School. I went to college to study Communication Arts in hopes of being a part of the Film industry someday. But now, after graduating, I don’t know anymore. I need money more than anything else. Ha ha ha ha ha.
9. I love plane rides. I love the airplane experience: the food, the flight crew,the toilet, the the awkwardness between me and the stranger next to me (I don’t talk to my seat mates), and how do you call it when the plane abruptly moves because of the clouds? I love that as well.
10. I. eat. a. lot. If you need a food buddy, you can call me. Aside from eating in unimaginable quantity, I can eat almost anything. (Just don’t give me those exotic food such as reptiles and dogs and chicken feet).
11. My goal is to earn 1 million Pesos (of course) by the age of 25. I wish I could do this. But to do that, I have to work outside the Philippines. Singapore perhaps? But my dream is to work and live in Australia or in USA.
12. I’m a crybaby in watching movies (e.g. The Incredibles). But I don’t rarely cry when faced by real life situations.
13. One of my ultimate dreams is to travel the whole world. This year I wish I could go at least in Bangkok or Singapore. That will depend on my salary. Next year, I wish I could go back to Sydney or to visit my family in US. And on 2012, BRAZIL! with my friends.
14. I wear short shorts.
15. I don’t have an appendix. It was removed when I was 4. Now, there’s this ugly stitch in my abs which opens a possibility of me getting a tattoo in the future to conceal the motherfucker.
16. One of my favorite things to do is to answer lies on surveys and memes such as this.
