Thai Basil Seed Drink
I had this today but with sago and vanilla extract. It’s really refreshing. You must try it. The seeds, although strange looking (frog eggs anyone?), are great. It gives an unusual texture in the drink. My mom got the seeds from my aunt who got it from a Vietnamese store in Sydney. I wonder if this is easily available in Manila?
Last Meal in BKK: Uttapam with Sambar and Coconut Dip
The hostel where I stayed is also a restaurant on its first floor and of course I have to try it before leaving Bangkok. Uttapam immediately caught my attention because the menu referred to it as Indian Pizza (You should know that aside from Tandoori, Naan and Chicken Tikka Masala, I know nothing about Indian Cuisine). PIZZA! You can never go wrong with pizzas! Uttapam is made out of pancake-like dough sprinkled with tomato, onion and other spices. I know I will love it because I like my pizza simple and unpretentious and it tastes perfectly well with that dip. Sambar was good too. It’s a vegetable stew/soup with just the right amount of spiciness and sourness. All are simple but definitely different. iLike.
Mister Donut (Japan)
Wow, I didn’t know Mister Donut is an international franchise. And mmmmmm, donuts.

Ice Cream Spaghetti
Of course that’s not pasta noodles. Ice cream were piped into these squiggly strands and strawberry syrup were drizzled to make it appear like the classic bolognese. iWant right now.
